RESEARCH / METHODOLOGY

The source matters.
So does the timestamp.

Market snapshots

The initial dashboard follows four named assets in USD. CoinGecko integration is disabled until a server-side key is configured. Missing data is shown as a dash, never as a zero price. A snapshot can differ from the quote at your trading venue.

Freshness and outages

Market responses are cached for five minutes; news responses for fifteen minutes. During a provider outage, a previously successful response may be served for up to one hour for markets or six hours for news, with a visible stale label. After that window, values are unavailable. The displayed retrieval time does not imply every underlying quote was updated at that time.

News selection and rights

The news connector accepts a publisher-approved JSON Feed configured by the operator. Only allowlisted publisher links with valid titles and dates are displayed. Duplicate links are removed, future dates are rejected, and article bodies, embedded HTML, and images are not republished. Titles are displayed as plain text. We do not invent fallback headlines.

Source checks and corrections

Check the original source for context and updates. Reporting and first-party announcements have different incentives. Headlines alone are not sufficient evidence for a trading decision.

Calculator assumptions

Calculators use only the numbers you enter. Results are arithmetic scenarios, not forecasts. Fees, price gaps, borrowing, funding, taxes, and liquidity constraints can materially change outcomes. Each calculator states its own scope.
