Check availability for your location
Verify the legal entity serving your location and whether the specific product is available to you. A platform operating in one country may offer different products in another. Confirm the information with the platform and your local regulator; do not infer protection from a brand name.
Understand custody and withdrawal rules
Read who controls the assets, how withdrawals are authorized, and when funds can be restricted. Examine withdrawal minimums, network compatibility, and account verification requirements. A balance displayed in an app does not explain your rights if the service fails.
Review account security controls
Check available authentication methods, withdrawal address controls, account recovery, and device or session management. No control eliminates every risk. Never share a recovery phrase or send assets to someone promising guaranteed returns.
Compare like with like
Use the same transaction size, product, payment method, and account tier when comparing costs. Record the source and date for each fee. Distinguish an introductory promotion from an ongoing rate, and check conditions attached to each offer.
Investigate support and limitations
Read the support channels, complaint process, account terms, and service restrictions. Treat testimonials and star ratings as claims to examine rather than proof of reliability. This checklist does not certify any exchange as safe or suitable.
